If you check the ingredient list of any oral care, skincare or personal care product in your bathroom cupboard, chances are you'd find 'aqua' listed as the first ingredient.

For decades, water has been used in formulating beauty products. Why? It's an inexpensive ingredient, it ‘fills’ out a products size, and with additional of chemical preservatives, it has a longer shelf life.

Water-free beauty products are more concentrated as they tend to contain higher levels of active ingredients since they aren’t diluted.

Waterless beauty is a trend that started in South Korea in 2015. It refers to products that do not contain water as an ingredient. This innovation began as a way to increase the concentration of active ingredients in products, as the use of water dilutes the effectiveness.

However, as global demand for water increases, waterless beauty more than just a new trend now. It’s a necessity. Using waterless products is is a quick and easy way to reduce water consumption.

Krush waterless tabs don’t just offer the sustainability side of things - the absence of water means that preservatives aren’t required, making waterless oral care a great option for those with sensitive teeth, gums or those that just want to be more conscious and natural about the ingredients they put in their mouth twice a day.
